Another solution that seems to work for luggage and bags are charcoal-based deodorizers. These come in various sizes and shapes. The most practical and economical deodorizers are the small bags that you can find everywhere. Here's an example of a model for shoes that can also be used for luggage or bags.

You can also try a deodorizer bag that's large enough for your bag, document case, or backpack. But in this case, you need to put the bag in an individual container before adding the charcoal-based deodorizer product. This extra precaution is preventively necessary to avoid the lining coming into contact with the deodorizing product.

How to Clean the Outside of the Bag
